Everything you need to know about Claybook.

Is my data stored in the cloud?
No. All your data — photos, notes, glaze history — is stored locally on your device. Claybook doesn't require an account or internet connection to use.
Can I use Claybook on iPad?
Claybook is designed for iPhone and is compatible with iPad. An iPad-optimized layout may come in a future update.
What if I forget to log a stage?
No problem — you can add, edit, or backfill any stage at any time. Dates are editable too, so you can always go back and fill in what you missed.
How do I track underglaze?
When logging the Glazed stage, toggle "Used underglaze" and add your underglaze entries to the glaze list (e.g., "Underglaze: Cobalt"). They'll be saved with the application order.
Will my data transfer to a new phone?
Yes — when you back up and restore your iPhone through iCloud or a computer backup, your Claybook data comes with it.
Is Claybook free?
Claybook is free to download and use. All core features are included.

The short version

Claybook doesn't collect, store, or share any of your personal data. Everything stays on your device.

Data storage

All data you enter into Claybook — including pottery items, photos, notes, glaze history, and settings — is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. None of this data is transmitted to any server.

Analytics and tracking

Claybook does not include any analytics SDKs, tracking pixels, or third-party data collection tools. We don't know how you use the app, and that's by design.

Photos

Photos you take or import in Claybook are stored within the app's local data on your device. They are not uploaded anywhere.

Third-party services

Claybook does not integrate with any third-party services. There are no ads, no social logins, and no cloud syncing.

Children's privacy

Claybook does not collect data from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change how data is handled (for example, adding optional cloud sync), we will update this policy and notify users within the app.
